The system enables physisorption characterization of microporous and mesoporous materials, providing accurate measurements of surface area, pore size, and pore volume. The degassing unit removes any adsorbed species prior to analysis. Specific surface areas can be measured down to 0.01 m²/g using nitrogen and 0.0005 m²/g using krypton at liquid nitrogen temperature. Pore size distributions can be analyzed in the 0.35 to 500 nm range.
