The system is dedicated to physisorption analyses for the study of the porous structure of discrete solid materials. Specific surface areas of 0.01 m²/g and upwards can be measured using nitrogen (at liquid nitrogen temperature). Surface areas down to 0.0005 m²/g can be estimated using krypton at liquid nitrogen temperature. The system also enables analyses of pore size distribution in the (0.7 – 500) nm range and pore volume distribution.
